 A modern steakhouse concept called Guard and Grace lives in One Allen Center in Downtown Houston and features a complete charcuterie station and raw bar.

The prime, certified Angus and local Wagyu beef in an array of cuts and preparations come from Rosewood Ranches and Halperns’ Steak and Seafood to keep it locally sourced. And while the sources are local, the flavors are worldly, inspired by the chef’s global travels. Some menu highlights include Alaskan black cod, a filet mignon flight and a fire-roasted grand seafood tower. Not to be left out of the Tex-Mex scene, the restaurant also offers a $400 dish called The Millionaire Fajitas which includes Wagyu, caviar and tortillas.

Sleekly designed with beautifully high ceilings, Guard and Grace is airy and bright with 30-foot glass walls that bring in tons of natural light to bounce off the 4,600 hanging bronze rods. For those interested in dining al fresco, there is a 4,000 square foot patio that looks out to downtown sights onto an inviting green lawn.

The restaurant is also open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11a.m. to 3 p.m. The Social Hour menu is available Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
