The Pearl Restaurant & Bar

The Pearl Restaurant and Bar is housed within the city’s oldest operating hotel, the Sam Houston Hotel, which first opened its doors in 1924. Chef Raphael Rogers's menus pay homage to the landmark 1924 building’s historic roots with a mix of coastal and Tex-Mex-inspired items. Diners can choose from a selection of inventive dishes that offer the best of both worlds, including oyster nachos with blue corn tortilla chips and the signature dish — called, simply, The Sam Houston — a hearty mix of huevos rancheros, burnt ends and cotija cheese drizzled with a house-made Texas rye barbecue sauce. The emphasis on Texas heritage also extends to the drink menu, including local craft beers and specialty cocktails.
