One of Houston’s most beloved cultural traditions returns this May as Houston Greek Fest 2026 welcomes the community for three days of food, music, and Hellenic hospitality. Hosted by Saint Basil the Great Greek Orthodox Church in West Houston’s Energy Corridor, the festival invites guests of all ages to experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of Greece in a vibrant, family‑friendly setting.

Festivalgoers can enjoy authentic Greek cuisine and pastries, traditional music and dancing, cultural exhibits, shopping, and guided church tours throughout the weekend. Now in its 27th year, Houston Greek Fest continues to serve as both a cultural celebration and a fundraiser supporting church ministries, outreach, and youth programs.

This all‑ages festival features live music, traditional dance performances, cultural exhibits, shopping, and activities for kids. The open layout and welcoming atmosphere make Houston Greek Fest an easy, crowd‑pleasing outing for families.

Comicpalooza is a fun, family‑friendly pop‑culture festival that welcomes fans of all ages. Families can enjoy colorful cosplay, interactive exhibits, kid‑appropriate panels, gaming areas, and a lively show floor filled with comics, toys, art, and collectibles. Programming runs throughout the weekend with activities designed to appeal to children, teens, and parents alike, making it an easy choice for a shared Memorial Day weekend outing.

Super Saturday: Emerging Artists’ Showcase is a free, family‑friendly arts event celebrating student creativity from Houston‑area schools. Families can view youth artwork, learn about Asian art techniques, and take part in hands‑on art activities designed for children and adults. The showcase is part of Asia Society Texas’s Super Saturday series, which offers engaging cultural programming for all ages along with complimentary access to gallery exhibitions.

The Journey to End Cancer: From Cause to Cure” at The Health Museum

Museum-goers can visit the exhibition at The Health Museum from March 7 through September 13. This interactive exhibition guides visitors through the latest scientific discoveries, innovative treatments, and inspiring accounts of resilience from patients and researchers. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the origins of cancer, advances in prevention and therapy, and the collaborative efforts driving progress toward a cure.

Designed to educate and empower, the exhibition features engaging displays, multimedia presentations, and hands-on activities for all ages. By shining a spotlight on ongoing research and the hope for a cancer-free future, “The Journey to End Cancer” aims to foster awareness, support, and action throughout the nation. Check local listings for tour dates and locations, and join us in this collective pursuit to end cancer.

Following its time in Houston, “The Journey to End Cancer” will bring comprehensive, accessible cancer education to communities nationwide. Exhibition co-branded merchandise will be available at each host museum, with a portion of the proceeds supporting cancer research and treatment at MD Anderson.

This immersive exhibition explores the natural world’s most dangerous elements, from venomous animals and poisonous plants to toxic minerals and everyday substances that can become lethal. Freedom Plane National Tour: Documents That Forged a Nation

Brewsology: Houston

Saturday, May 30, 2026 | 7:00–11:00 p.m.
This after‑hours, 21‑and‑over event transforms the museum into a beer festival experience. Guests can sample offerings from more than 50 breweries while exploring museum exhibits at night. Tickets include beer tastings and full access to exhibit halls, with VIP options offering early entry and food credit.

Children’s Museum Houston (Steve – Add this to the Kids Corner)
At the Children’s Museum Houston, kids are encouraged to touch, build, climb, splash, and explore their way through learning. This colorful, high‑energy museum is packed with hands‑on exhibits that turn curiosity into adventure, whether children are running their own mini city at Kidtropolis USA®, experimenting with water and motion at FlowWorks, or discovering plants and animals at EcoStation. Woodlands Cars and Coffee for a Cause

A recurring community gathering held on the first Sunday of every month from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Market Street. Organized by The Woodlands Car Club (TWCC), the event provides a creative way for local car enthusiasts to showcase their vehicles while supporting Montgomery County charities.

Event Details:

Location: Market Street, 9595 Six Pines Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77380.

Admission: The event is free to the public.

Vehicle Entry: For those wishing to display a “specialty” or “show” vehicle, a donation of any amount is collected upon entry in front of Starbucks.

Parking Information: Vehicle entry begins as early as 6:30 a.m. and is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Due to safety and space constraints at the venue, lifted trucks, Jeeps, or SUVs with oversized tires cannot be accommodated within the main ring road area.

Charitable Impact: All donations benefit the Market Street “Change for Charities” program, which supports various non-profit organizations throughout the year
