The energy in the heart of the Museum District was absolutely electric on Monday, May 18, 2026, as The Houston Concierge Association (THCA) hosted its highly anticipated 16th Annual “Pre-World Cup” Cultural Partner Open House and Clothing Drive.

Held inside the fascinating galleries of The Health Museum, the evening brought together local hospitality giants, cultural institutions, and vendors for a powerful night of networking, celebration, and giving back.

As passionate local ambassadors dedicated to curating the ultimate Bayou City experience, the staff of Best Houston Stay was proudly in attendance, connecting with fellow industry leaders and celebrating the incredible community spirit that makes Houston so unique.

Networking with a Global Vision

With the excitement of the upcoming World Cup building across the city, this year’s “Pre-World Cup” theme highlighted Houston’s status as a premier global destination. Industry guests, including the HCA president and team, were joined by the FIFA president, local vendors, and a stellar lineup of cultural institutions.

While attendees explored the interactive exhibits of The Health Museum at no cost, a vibrant Member Showcase gave everyone a fresh look at the world-class entertainment, arts, and local experiences that keep Houston’s tourism thriving. Representatives from the Houston Symphony, Stages, Theatre Under The Stars, Republic Boot Co., and the National Museum of Funeral History were all on-site sharing what makes our city a top-tier place to visit and stay.

A Feast of Local Houston Flavors

The event was also a spectacular showcase of the city’s culinary diversity. Guests mixed and mingled while enjoying complimentary, delectable bites and sips from an incredible roster of local sponsors. From the savory comfort of Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken and Brennan’s of Houston to sweet treats from DonutNV and Sugar Baby’s Cakery, the food perfectly reflected Houston’s rich hospitality culture. Thirsts were quenched with local favorites like Saint Arnold Brewing Company and Spec’s, alongside refreshing pours from Chella Limoncello and Bar Moon.

The atmosphere was kept lively all evening with vibrant entertainment by Twisted Entertainment, making the two-hour mixer feel like a true celebration.

Giving Back: Supporting the Star of Hope

While the networking and food were phenomenal, the true heart of the evening was the annual clothing drive benefiting Star of Hope. The hospitality community showed out in full force, filling the Star of Hope donation truck parked right at the entrance with essential clothing items to support homeless men, women, and children across Greater Houston.

Between the massive turnout for the clothing drive and a spectacular raffle featuring a gift basket valued at over $2,000 in hotel stays and dinners, the night proved once again that Houston’s hospitality industry is deeply committed to taking care of its own.

Proud to Be Part of the Momentum

For the team at Best Houston Stay, being part of this landmark event was an absolute highlight. Gathering alongside our city’s premier concierges, local business owners, and international sports representatives reminded us why we love doing what we do: showcasing the very best of Houston to the world.

A massive thank you to the THCA leadership, the team at The Health Museum, all of the spectacular vendors, and everyone who donated to Star of Hope for making the 16th Annual Open House an unforgettable success. The future of Houston hospitality looks brighter than ever!
